With the hot summer months and celebrations ahead here are some tasty mocktail alternatives that can replace alcohol.
Cranberry Fizz
80ml diet/sugar free ginger ale
80ml reduced sugar cranberry juice
½-1 tsp lemon/lime juice
1. Rub lemon/lime juice around glass and dip into cinnamon mixed with stevia (optional)
2. Add diet ginger ale, cranberry juice and lemon to glass filled with ice
3. Enjoy
Sparkling Spritzer
40ml sugar free raspberry fizzy drink
40ml diet/sugar free ginger beer
80ml soda water
splash of lemon
frozen raspberries/strawberries
1. Combine all ingredients in a champagne flute
2. Add frozen berries
3. Enjoy
You can swap the ginger beer for extra soda water to taste.
Cucumber and Lime Spritzer
750ml soda water
¼ cup lemon juice
1 cucumber sliced
1. Combine all ingredients in a water jug that has been filled with ice
2. Add sliced cucumber
3. Enjoy
Virgin Ginger Mimosa
100ml of Vitafresh orange sugar free juice (1 sachets makes 1 Litre) OR
100ml water with Barkers and Hall lite orange and barley syrup
100ml soda water
2 stalks rosemary
2cm piece of ginger
1. Add the ice and orange juice, then top off with sparkling water. Garnish with fresh ginger and rosemary stalks
Zingy Passion Fruit Shaker
1 x passionfruit, seeds and juice removed
2 cm ginger, finely chopped, plus more slices to serve
5 mint leaves, plus extra to serve
1/2 lime, juiced
2 cups sparkling water
1. Add the passionfruit, ginger, mint and lime juice. Top with soda water. Serve with extra ginger slices and mint leaves if you like
